I am completely fine with DIY recordings.

Recording gear is super cheap, has really great quality and there is a ton of tutorials on how to record music.

Or you can hire someone who can teach you.

I even recommend bands and artists to record their music by themself and save some money for better editing, mixing and mastering done by professional audio engineer.

BUT!

Before you will record DIY, take some consultation with the engineer who will mix and master your track so you will do it right way and ensure that audio engineer will be able to work with your tracks accordingly.

Go and record some awesome music!

And then hire the professional for the post-production.
