Check out my new video where I am comparing SMR Toys N-1 Fuzz against my EHX Deluxe Big Muff.
I love SMR Tyos N-1 Fuzz!
Even I already have 7 fuzz pedals,
even I have the Deluxe BigMuff.
At first, I was quite skeptical... like...
OK, another Muff style fuzz...
But!
When I went deeper comparing it
with the rest of my fuzzes, I felt in love with it.
When I was comparing the N-1 Fuzz
against my Deluxe Big Muff,
I found the N-1 more smooth,
a little darker sounding than
my Deluxe BigMuff.
N-1 feels more full and rich,
especially on the lower notes.
With guitar volume down
N1 cleans up a bit nicer.
At higher Sustain settings the N-1
is more articulated and musical,
not that fizzy as the Muff.
I find N1 less noisy than BigMuff
especially when the guitar volume
is at lower values.
