What is better? Brighter or Darker bass? | How I mix

Well, it depends.... If the bass is too bright, it can feel thin and clash with other higher-frequency range instruments too much or it can even hurt to listen to. If the bass is too dark, then it can make the mix muddy or can be not clearly heard on smaller speakers (for example on cell-phones). And it also depends on the genre and the song emotions, of course. But as the time goes, I tend to make the bass darker, especially for heavy genres. For the bass bus processing I al

BOSS CE-2: knobs at noon | Guitar laboratory

How does the legend sound? All at noon. That's the default controls position. Should every pedal sound "decent" or "best possible" when all controls are at noon? What do You think? Video post-production by Kryštof Kozák. We have used some stock footage in this video.

Songwriting with MØ in mind | How I Write | Electronic Dance Music

See how I write music, learn songwriting and arranging, get inspired! In this video I am showing you how I wrote the song "I'm Running To You" for very talented female singer from Czech Republic. The song should be aimed to tropical house music inspired by Danish singer-songwriter MØ. On Wikipedia MØ is categorized as electropop, synth-pop or indie pop. This is not my normal genre. I am more into guitar-oriented genres. But I have enjoyed the whole process of music and audio
